Experts Confirm: Men Don’t Hate Texting, They’re Just Loading Updates

<

In a breakthrough moment for gender understanding, researchers at the Global Institute of Male Behaviour (GIMB) have released a report confirming that men do not, in fact, hate texting—they’re simply loading.

According to the study, the average man requires anywhere between 3 minutes and 3 business days to respond to a message, depending on the complexity of the question, his current Wi-Fi strength of emotional availability, and whether he’s thinking about meat at that moment.

Lead researcher Dr. Arnold Tibingana explains: “Women assume men are ignoring them. No. The male operating system is just buffering. Sometimes a text comes in and the man sees it, acknowledges it, respects it… then his brain says, ‘We’ll get back to this after a mandatory reboot.’”

The report notes several male-specific glitches:
The Double-Read Freeze – when a man opens a message and immediately forgets it existed.
The Long Reply Loop – when he begins typing, overthinks it, deletes everything, and decides silence is safer.
The “OK” Update – when his internal software limits him to one-word responses to preserve battery life.

One participant described the experience perfectly: “It’s not that I don’t want to reply. It’s just that my brain hits a spinning wheel and I have to wait for version 2.1 of myself to load.”

The study reveals that men communicate best through a combination of memes, thumbs-ups, voice notes that sound like hostage recordings, and the timeless classic: “Cool.”

In response to the findings, Men’s Conference officials have confirmed a new seminar for 2026 titled “Texting for Men: Enhancing Responsiveness Without Overheating.” Modules will include controlled typing exercises, emotional RAM management, and escape tactics for long paragraphs.

For now, experts encourage patience. “If a man doesn’t reply instantly,” Dr. Tibingana notes, “just know he heard you. He received the message. He has seen the notification. He is simply… loading.”
